Citizens of Humanity

While
temperatures hit the triple digits, L.A. revelers were hitting
a late-night soirée on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of
Fame. Not even a heat wave could stop Mischa Barton, Cindy
Crawford, Gina Gershon, Josie Maran, Michele Hicks, and others
from descending Wednesday upon the recently revamped Roosevelt
Hotel for a summer bash to celebrate Citizens of Humanity
jeans and the label's new men's line.
The
aptly named Citizens Band, a New York-based cabaret troupe
of actors, musicians, dancers, and supermodels, treated the
party's 250-plus guests to a rousing performance that included
acrobatics and burlesque. Karen Elson, flame-haired and wearing
a bejeweled dress, sang, danced, and played the zither so
deftly that her new husband, Jack White, should be proud.
Silver
trays of macaroni lobster balls, mini pizzas, and spring rolls
were passed around, and the talk wound back to those other
Citizens. "Their jeans really fit girls with curves because
they have ample butt room," said Entourage star Debi
Mazar, who sported a white pair with a Christina T polka-dot
top that she scored on vacation last month in Italy. Rachel
Bilson of The O.C. added, "There just aren't many jeans
that fit when you're 5-foot-2. I still have to have them hemmed,
but I love them."
